What is Jessner's Peel Solution?
Jessner's solution is a mild peeling agent that can be used to lighten areas of hyperpigmentation and to treat aged, sun-damged skin.
Jessner's Peel
Chemical peels improve the overall appearance of your facial skin by removing the damaged outer layer, and as a result, facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation are greatly reduced. A variety of peeling agents and formulations can be used.
Jessner's Peel is a medium depth peel designed for more extensive damage than AHA's can improve. It is a blend of salicylic acid (a beta hydroxy acid), lactic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid) and resorcinol. Your surgeon or skin technician will apply a glycolic cleanser over your face to fully remove the oils so that your Jessner's solution will penetrate properly. Then the Jessner's solution will be applied to your face in layers as a “frosted” look appears. Over the next 7 days your skin will flake and/or peel revealing a smooth, bright complexion. Clients often comment on a noticeable improvement in fine lines, pore size, and the tone and texture of their skin.
